Subset decals allow different materials to be applied simultaneously to the same decal, the below pictures show the difference that can be achieved with subset decals. 

To change the subset color first open decal machine, click on match material then scroll your mouse to cycle through materials in your Blender scene. 

To change the emission color of a decal, go to the shader editor and add a mixRGB node between the emission and the Principled BSDF node, set it to color, then adjust slider to the right and change the second input to the desired color.
